Entry-Level Accountant

Our client is in search of a dedicated Entry-Level Accountant to become a vital part of their finance team. The ideal candidate will be tasked with managing and processing customer invoices, aiding in account reconciliations, and ensuring timely payments while adhering to established protocols for maintaining financial records.

Your role will encompass the following responsibilities:
  • Completing the billing cycle by generating, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, as well as applying customer payments accurately.
  • Reconciling processed transactions by verifying entries and comparing system reports to account balances.
  • Ensuring that outstanding balances are consistently updated and precise.
  • Updating financial information in databases to maintain data integrity.
  • Processing financial entries to guarantee accurate recording of all business transactions.
  • Maintaining historical records of invoices, reports, and checks by properly archiving documents on the network.
  • Allocating revenue to the appropriate accounts in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Assisting senior accountants in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
  • Preparing and submitting weekly and monthly financial reports.
  • Assisting in the preparation of income statements, balance sheets, and other financial documents in compliance with the company's legal and accounting standards.
  • Ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations.
  • Assisting with the review of payroll records and expenses, along with other assigned tasks.
Key qualifications include:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, coupled with at least two years of relevant experience.
  • A comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures.
  • A solid grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conceptualize and solve problems effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and robust organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Critical thinking skills complemented by proficiency in mathematics.
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional report writing, communication, and IT skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various accounting software packages.
