Fundraising Coordinator

The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Toronto Branch is seeking a Fundraising Coordinator to join our Philanthropy Team. Reporting to the Manager of Fundraising & Special Events, this role plays a key part in creating positive experiences for CMHA Toronto's supporters and staff. The Fundraising Coordinator supports the team in areas such as gift cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, donor relations, and maintaining accurate records.
Building respectful and effective relationships with staff and volunteers across the organization is crucial to this role. It ensures CMHA Toronto donors enjoy meaningful and fulfilling connections with our community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for the Philanthropy program (such as financial reconciliation, reporting and analytics)
- Maintain and update the donor database system
- Connect/follow up with donors and answer questions by phone and email in a timely manner
- Research and identify new funding opportunities
- Manage donor relationships and maintain accurate donor records
- Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns and events
- Coordinate volunteer activities related to fundraising initiatives
- Maintain and support the development of fundraising materials and communications
- Assist in the grant writing and reporting processes
- Collaborate with team members to ensure fundraising goals are met
- Monitor fundraising trends and best practices in the healthcare philanthropy sector
Requirements:
- Graduate of, or studies in, a recognized fundraising program and/or completion of a college diploma or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., non-profit management, business, marketing)
- Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in fundraising or a related field
- Interest in engaging in Trust-Based Philanthropy principles
- Experience with donor management software
- Experience with social media and digital fundraising platforms
- Knowledge of CRA guidelines for charitable organizations
- Experience working independently and as part of a team in a collaborative virtual office environment
