The Position

As a Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate the production efforts of foremen under your guidance, inspiring them to achieve daily objectives safely, accurately, and efficiently. You will serve as a vital link between Project Management and on-site operations, ensuring that construction activities align with plans and specifications. Proficiency in utilizing Bronte's workplace technology for equipment maintenance, scheduling, and cost management is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure Safety, Quality, and Production standards are met
  • Organize field staff requirements effectively
  • Provide mentorship and support to foremen and field staff
  • Manage the utilization of assigned equipment
  • Lead the planning efforts for projects
  • Accountable for achieving project milestones

A Typical Day

  • Direct and supervise construction projects in accordance with contract documents
  • Verify safety compliance across all labor forces, including subcontractors
  • Complete daily reports, including:
  • Daily Journals
  • Daily Invoice Trackers
  • Health and Safety documentation
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Enforce project quality-control policies
  • Analyze specifications and construction drawings
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to Bronte standards and contract specifications
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to plan and implement construction schedules
  • Represent Bronte in project meetings with stakeholders
  • Review cost reports with Project Managers to identify solutions for budget discrepancies
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project representatives

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Heavy Civil Supervisor
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal abilities
  • A proven leader, motivated by the success of assigned projects
