Your Role
We are looking for experienced Project Managers adept at overseeing intricate projects across various sectors including Healthcare, Commercial, Retail, Aviation, Transportation, Education, and Justice to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Management:
  2. Oversee large-scale and complex projects to ensure client satisfaction, quality outcomes, adherence to timelines, and budgetary goals.
  3. Collaborate with the Project Team and Partners to develop and implement project execution strategies, including work plans, resource allocation, and risk management.
  4. Manage the daily operational aspects of projects and their scope.
  5. Assume responsibility, alongside the designated principal, for maintaining technical and design excellence.
  6. Ensure project documentation, including contracts and service requests, are processed and archived according to Stantec’s protocols.
  7. Financial Oversight:
  8. Regularly update project financials utilizing Stantec's proprietary systems.
  9. Oversee project budgets and schedules, including monitoring team hours and expenses.
  10. Analyze revenue recognition and assess billing rates and utilization targets for project teams.
  11. Ensure timely invoicing and manage the collection of outstanding payments.
  12. Communication:
  13. Facilitate regular meetings with the team and clients.
  14. Keep the project team informed of any changes and updates.
  15. Deliver clear and organized presentations both verbally and in writing.
  16. Address and escalate issues promptly.
  17. Communicate sensitive information effectively.
  18. Leadership:
  19. Mentor and motivate project team members.
  20. Align project tasks with team members' skills and career aspirations.
  21. Identify areas for improvement and propose constructive changes.
  22. Stay informed about emerging industry trends and practices.
  23. Adhere to and promote Stantec's policies and procedures.
  24. Support Stantec's safety initiatives and complete all necessary health and safety documentation.
  25. Collaboration:
  26. Maximize the potential of each team member.
  27. Encourage teamwork and efficient collaboration.
  28. Address and resolve team conflicts and communication barriers.
  29. Recognize and appreciate team contributions consistently.
  30. Document lessons learned and share insights with team members and clients.
  31. Organize team-building activities that align with Stantec's safety programs.
  32. Technical Knowledge:
  33. Maintain a solid understanding of core and shell as well as interior design and construction.
  34. Familiarize yourself with Stantec's capabilities.
  35. Actively pursue continuing education to enhance your knowledge.
  36. Client Relations:
  37. Manage daily interactions with clients, assessing and addressing their expectations.
  38. Seek to enhance client satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.
  39. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide value-added services.
  40. Develop a comprehensive understanding of each client's business and objectives.
  41. Business Development:
  42. Identify opportunities for business growth and additional services across Stantec’s disciplines related to specific projects or clients.
  43. Participate in proposal development, including project scope and pricing.

Qualifications

Capabilities and Credentials

  1. Proven experience managing large, complex projects across various sectors.
  2. Demonstrated proficiency in Alternative Project Delivery models.
  3. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  4. Professional designation and/or PMP certification preferred.

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in project management, architecture, engineering, interior design, or equivalent experience.
