Program Officer Role at the Government of Saskatchewan

The Government of Saskatchewan's Ministry of Highways, Network Planning and Investment Branch is seeking a dedicated Program Officer to lead program delivery related to program management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Management: Manage federal infrastructure agreements, ensuring compliance with government regulations and policies.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet reporting requirements, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Project Identification and Approval: Support the identification and approval of federal funding requests for infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with government priorities.
  • Federal Funding Opportunities: Research and apply for new federal infrastructure program opportunities, leveraging government resources and expertise.
  • Progress and Completion Reports: Submit regular progress and completion reports to stakeholders, highlighting project achievements and challenges.
  • Federal Funding Agreements: Negotiate federal funding agreements and amendments, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
  • Infrastructure Analysis: Analyze infrastructure issues, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending solutions.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Support strategic initiatives related to infrastructure projects, contributing to the development of government policies and programs.

We are seeking a candidate with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, a degree in public policy or a related discipline, and relevant work experience. Occasional travel may be required.
