We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in the Sewer and Drainage Operations branch. Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain sewer and drainage infrastructure systems, including planning, design, construction, and operation.
- Analyze data and information to develop options and solutions for infrastructure projects.
- Evaluate and recommend proposals, plans, and applications related to water, sewer, and drainage engineering.
- Develop and implement corporate standards, policies, and best practices for sewer and drainage management.
- Compile and deliver technical reports, contract documents, and proposals.
- Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Direct and oversee the work of consultants, contractors, and operational teams.
- Guide and train employees to foster a respectful and innovative work environment.
- Maintain accurate infrastructure information systems and records.
- Address and resolve concerns and enquiries from staff, the public, and other departments.
- University degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of engineering principles, processes, and technologies related to municipal wastewater, drainage, and environmental management.
- Knowledge of sewer, drainage, and infrastructure management standards, policies, and practices.
- Intermediate skill in MS Office and ability to develop expertise in specialized software.
- Ability to analyze complex data and issues and interpret specifications and plans.
- Knowledge of project management principles and processes.
- Knowledge of administrative and supervisory principles and processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, information systems, and budgets.
- Ability to lead, plan, and direct work teams and consultants.
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relations and a respectful environment.
- Skilled in expressing ideas effectively and communicating with diverse groups.
- Ability to apply occupational health and safety regulations.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan.
- Valid Class Five (5) driver's license and vehicle available for work usage.
