Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead the management of federal programs for the Government of Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will provide leadership on the identification and management of the province's responsibilities under federal infrastructure agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the identification and management of the province's responsibilities under federal infrastructure agreements;
  • Coordinate between internal and external stakeholders to ensure provincial reporting requirements, annual budgeting and forecasting are being met;
  • Support the project identification, prioritization, and approval of projects, for federal funding requests, with internal leadership, minister's office, and the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement;
  • Seek opportunities and lead application development and submission for new federal infrastructure program opportunities;
  • Lead the process of submitting progress reports and project completion reports;
  • Assist in negotiation of federal funding agreements and amendments;
  • Identify, research, and analyze complex infrastructure issues;
  • Support strategic initiatives related to infrastructure projects with partnering ministries and agencies.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in public policy, economics, public or business administration, or a related discipline, coupled with several years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required to develop and maintain good working relationships with federal and provincial stakeholders, collaborate, build consensus, and lead change. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also essential.

Working Conditions

Travel throughout the province will occasionally be required. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to service excellence and innovation.
