Farm Supervisor Job Description

H D B Farms Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our agricultural team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our farm, ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock, and maintaining the highest standards of farm safety and bio-security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Animal Health Monitoring: Regularly inspect and monitor the health of our livestock to identify any potential issues and take corrective action.
  • Task Organization: Plan and organize tasks to ensure the efficient completion of farm work, including the supervision of general farm workers and harvesting laborers.
  • Livestock Health Issues: Treat and manage any health issues that arise with our livestock, working closely with our veterinarian to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Farm Safety and Bio-Security: Develop and implement procedures to ensure the safety and bio-security of our farm, including the maintenance of financial and production records.
  • Financial and Production Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of farm finances and production, including livestock performance and quality control.
  • Client Negotiations: Negotiate with clients to provide services and ensure the smooth operation of our farm.
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise staff to ensure the effective operation of our farm.
  • Farm Machinery and Equipment: Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure the efficient completion of farm work.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
