Talent and Culture Strategist

About the Role:
The Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development will lead the Talent and Culture administration function for South Country Co-op Limited. This position is responsible for implementing Human Resources strategies, programs, and initiatives in the organization and providing input into the development of organizational Talent and Culture strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for providing operational excellence and responsible for developing and maintaining Human Resources principles, practices, and procedures.
- Partner with Senior Leadership Team to develop and execute HR and Talent Management strategies.
- Oversee talent acquisition and onboarding.
- Oversee performance management and employee relations.
- Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Design and implement talent and culture strategies and programs.
- Collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with business goals.
- Foster a vibrant organizational culture that upholds our values, vision, and mission.
Requirements:
- Possess an undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, or HR-related discipline.
- 10+ years' experience of relevant progressively responsible experience in Human Resources.
- 6+ years of Human Resources leadership experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
- 2+ years' HR generalist experience partnering directly with senior leadership to develop, align, and implement HR and organizational development strategies.
- Current working knowledge of legislation, labour and employment law, human rights legislation, and related areas.
- Strong understanding of talent management and organizational development.
- Strong business acumen, including well-balanced strategic and tactical agility with the ability to provide thoughtful, progressive, and strategic guidance.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to drive change and innovation in workplace culture.
- Exceptional organizational skills including managing time, multiple tasks, unquestionable business ethics, and accurate documentation.
