About the Role

The Director of Talent and Culture is a senior leadership position responsible for leading the Talent and Culture administration function for Federated Co-operatives Limited. This role is accountable for implementing Human Resources strategies, programs, and initiatives in the organization, and providing input into the development of organizational Talent and Culture strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Human Resources principles, practices, and procedures to ensure operational excellence.
  • Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and execute HR and Talent Management strategies that align with business goals.
  • Oversee talent acquisition and onboarding processes to ensure a seamless transition for new employees.
  • Manage performance management and employee relations to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Develop and implement talent and culture strategies and programs to drive business results and enhance organizational culture.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with business objectives and ensure a culture of collaboration, business partnering, efficiency, and driving results.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, or HR-related discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant progressively responsible experience in Human Resources, with 6+ years of HR leadership experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Current working knowledge of legislation, labor and employment law, human rights legislation, and related areas.
  • Strong understanding of talent management and organizational development.
  • Strong business acumen, including well-balanced strategic and tactical agility with the ability to provide thoughtful, progressive, and strategic guidance.
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to drive change and innovation in workplace culture.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including managing time, multiple tasks, and accurate documentation.
