Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources to join our team at Swim Recruiting. As a key member of our Executive Leadership Team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring our HR team, developing and implementing HR strategies, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies to support business objectives
  • Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals
  • Recruit, train, and develop HR staff
  • Manage labor relations, employee relations, and HR reporting
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Investigate employee complaints and concerns
  • Manage health, safety, and wellness programs
  • Talent acquisition and retention strategies
  • Learning and development programs
  • Performance management and leadership coaching
  • HR risk mitigation and compliance
  • HRIS optimization and implementation
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in human resources, including senior leadership roles
  • Labour relations skills and experience supporting a unionized workforce
  • Experience working for a mid-size non-profit organization
  • Experience working in the health sector (mental health and/or physical health) is highly preferred
  • Relevant post-secondary education and CPHR designation are preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and experience using an HRIS
