Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Kelowna General Hospital. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and related duties in collaboration with radiologists, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving and verifying requisitions from physicians for diagnostic ultrasound procedures and examinations
  • Performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and examinations in accordance with established standards, procedures, and protocols
  • Organizing workload according to exam priority and equipment availability
  • Monitoring patient care and safety by ensuring procedures adhere to department standards, policies, and protocols

Equipment and Technology

You will have access to state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment, including Philips IE33, GE Vivid S6, Meditech HIS, and McKesson CPACs.

Work Environment

You will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment within the hospital's Echo Lab, part of a large Diagnostic Cardiology Department. Our team provides an exceptional professional environment for medical imaging and offers opportunities for professional growth and development.
