Incentive and Grant Funding Specialist

Higher Ground Consulting (HGC) is looking for a remote, US-based Incentive and Grant Funding Specialist to support our Zero Emissions Vehicle Engineering alliance team. This role is pivotal in fostering mobility and energy advancements within global commerce. The ideal candidate will assist in crafting grant proposals and incentive submissions for our primary client, who provides cost-effective and streamlined vehicle electrification solutions at their logistics hubs, thereby improving convenience and operational efficiency across their vast international warehouse network.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Assist in the creation of comprehensive grant proposals and incentive submissions for critical markets.
- Collaborate with team members and grant-writing experts to enhance success rates by aligning suitable projects with appropriate funding opportunities, considering development timelines.
- Engage closely with colleagues in business development, project management, and engineering to devise and execute incentive strategies and stakeholder engagement plans for targeted opportunities and initiatives.
- Monitor and maintain the stakeholder management system throughout the development and operational phases of projects, providing performance updates against established KPIs.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the business model and consistently add value to the organization.
- A post-secondary degree accompanied by a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- At least 2 years of combined experience in research and analysis, project oversight, grant writing, and funding program management from either the client or agency perspective.
- A proven history of securing external funding for initiatives and projects, ideally within the environmental, public health, or energy sectors.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, demonstrated through effective management of diverse stakeholder groups.
- A strong aptitude and enthusiasm for research, writing, and refining technical documents produced by others into polished, high-quality outputs.
- Familiarity with the zero-emissions mobility, cleantech, and energy sectors, including market trends.
- Experience with incentive-funded infrastructure development projects.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly in document management and collaborative platforms such as MS Office 365, MS Teams, Excel, and SmartSheet.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar software is advantageous.
- A self-motivated and independent work approach.
