About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant/Manager to join our SR&ED and Government Incentives team in Calgary. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting client engagements, examining client operations and processes, and providing expert advice on tax credits and funding programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support SR&ED client engagements, focusing on the manufacturing, natural resources, and clean technology/environmental industries.
- Engage and maintain relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and becoming a trusted and influential advisor.
- Examine client operations and processes to determine eligibility for various grants, tax credits, and funding programs.
- Develop funding methodologies to maximize tax incentives available to clients.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding progress updates and issues.
- Provide clients with professional and timely advice on documentation and compliance with SR&ED program requirements.
- Gather internal and external client resources utilization and assist with costing activities.
- Assist and guide clients during technical reviews with the CRA.
Requirements
- University degree and/or strong technical expertise in a specific field of science and engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc., or PhD).
- Recognized subject matter expert with 2+ years of SR&ED experience.
- Excellent technical writing skills and strong editorial capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
