Your Role
We are seeking a Director of National Grants and Foundations to spearhead our efforts in securing and managing diverse funding sources. This pivotal position will report directly to the VP of National Development and will be instrumental in expanding our grant portfolio across Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Development: Formulate and implement a comprehensive strategy for grants and foundations that aligns with our organizational objectives.
  • Grant Management: Oversee the entire grant application process, ensuring the development of compelling proposals and adherence to reporting requirements.
  • Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with foundation representatives and grant officers to foster ongoing support and collaboration.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a dedicated team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Prospect Research: Lead efforts in identifying potential funding opportunities and maintaining a robust prospect clearance process.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • 5-7 years of experience in grant writing and fundraising within a nonprofit context.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • A proven track record of securing significant funding from foundations.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
