About the Role

Akhira Trucking INC is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Use computerized and other testing equipment to detect faults and malfunctions in our trucks.
  • Diagnose and Repair: Diagnose faults or malfunctions and repair or replace defective parts to ensure our trucks are running safely and efficiently.
  • Order Parts and Maintain Inventory: Order necessary parts and maintain an inventory of supplies to ensure our trucks are always well-stocked.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work to keep our trucks in good condition.
  • Verify and Repair Emission Control Systems: Verify and repair emission control systems to ensure our trucks are compliant with regulations.
  • Assist Process and Machine Operators: Assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
  • Certifications: Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
