About the Role

Akhira Trucking INC is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment, and adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Inventory Management: Order parts and maintain inventory to ensure that all necessary components are available for repairs.
  • Quality Control: Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by ensuring that all repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Teamwork: Assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing, and perform other routine maintenance tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
