About the Role

Akhira Trucking INC is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Use computerized and other testing equipment to detect faults and malfunctions in our heavy trucks.
  • Diagnose and Repair Faults: Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Order and Maintain Inventory: Order parts and maintain inventory to ensure that our trucks are properly equipped for repair.
  • Adjust and Repair Equipment: Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts to ensure that our trucks are in good working condition.
  • Keep Maintenance Reports: Keep maintenance reports and documentation to ensure that our trucks are properly maintained.
  • Welding Experience: Possess welding experience to repair and maintain our heavy trucks.
  • Test and Verify Equipment: Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Clean and Maintain Equipment: Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work to ensure that our trucks are in good working condition.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform other routine maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: Work 40 hours per week.
