Akhira Trucking INC is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy trucks.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repair: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment, and adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
- Inventory Management: Order parts and maintain inventory to ensure that all necessary components are available for repairs.
- Documentation: Keep maintenance reports and documentation up to date to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Training and Development: Instruct apprentices and assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing.
- Health and Safety: Verify and repair emission control systems to ensure a safe working environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Certifications: Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The work language is English.
