Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating 3D model parts and assemblies of industrial silencers and exhaust components using SolidWorks. Additionally, they will estimate pricing of sheet metal-based mechanical components, review project specifications to produce proposal layout drawings for customers, and prepare complete fabrication packages.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop 3D model parts and assemblies of industrial silencers and exhaust components using SolidWorks.
- Estimate pricing of sheet metal-based mechanical components.
- Review project specifications to produce proposal layout drawings for customers.
- Prepare complete fabrication packages, including welding detail drawings, bill of material, and DXF/Flat patterns for each project.
- Contribute to research and development of new products and prototype testing.
- Maintain an organized filing system for all CAD and project files.
- Continuously improve engineering processes.
- Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or higher.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in design or manufacturing, with expertise in SolidWorks or other CAD software.
- Experience in mechanical design, sheet metal fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
- Proven hands-on mechanical experience with practical applications.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Local to the GTA area is strongly preferred.
