Job Overview

We are seeking an On-call Library Assistant to provide circulation services and front-line support at our Cloverdale, Richmond, Surrey, and Langley Campus Libraries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff
  • Process library materials, including checking out and returning books, DVDs, and other materials
  • Assist with research and information literacy instruction
  • Work collaboratively with library staff to maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment
  • Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
  • Completion of a two-year Library Technician diploma from a publicly accredited post-secondary institution or equivalent education, training, and experience
  • Experience using an integrated library system
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds and move materials on carts
