Framing Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Black Sparrow Construction Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the framing and installation of wood structures.
Key Responsibilities- Estimating and Planning: Prepare accurate estimates of labour and material costs for framing and installation projects.
- Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Woodworking and Installation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to create precise and durable structures.
- Supervision and Teamwork: Supervise and coordinate the work of other carpenters and construction workers to ensure efficient and safe project execution.
- Work Conditions: Work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments, with frequent handling of heavy loads and materials.
- Physical Capabilities: Possess the physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work, including estimating, planning, and execution.
- Client Focus and Communication: Provide excellent client service and communication, ensuring that client needs and expectations are met and exceeded.
- Interpersonal and Teamwork Skills: Possess efficient interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
