We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at 10100432 Manitoba Ltd. as a key member of our construction crew.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for construction projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
- Develop and implement layouts for construction projects, utilizing measuring tools and expertise.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware, ensuring precise fit and finish.
- Estimate costs and materials for construction projects, taking into account factors such as labor, equipment, and materials.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, including wooden structures in various settings.
- The role requires working in a physically demanding environment, with regular exposure to noise and dust.
- Work hours are 35 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
- Fluency in English is required for effective communication with colleagues and clients.
