About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team at Harold Schlichting. As a key member of our construction and renovation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in all aspects of building and restoration projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construction and Renovation: Lead and participate in the construction and renovation of buildings, including wood framing, finishing, and installation of fixtures and equipment.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior carpenters and tradespeople to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that all work meets the required quality standards and that all safety protocols are being followed.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and expectations, and to ensure that their requirements are met.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of building codes, safety protocols, and quality control procedures. Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Transportation: Own vehicle and valid driver's license required.
