Library Systems Integration Specialist

Position Overview:

The Integrated Library Systems Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of integrated library systems. This position requires a strong understanding of library methodologies and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize knowledge of MARC coding and library information standards to enhance system functionality.
  • Support library discovery processes to improve user experience.

Qualifications:

  • A diploma in library technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution, or a suitable combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with integrated library systems.
  • Proven ability to provide technical support, training, and guidance to system users.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with computer concepts related to networks, coding, exchange protocols, and internal database structures.
  • Experience in utilizing analytics tools and generating reports from data.
