About the Role

Mist Mobility Integrated Systems Technology, Inc. is a pioneering company in the field of precision aerial delivery and recovery systems. We are seeking a highly skilled Configuration Management Specialist to join our Ottawa-based team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the application of Configuration Management best practices using MMIST's Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, revising and adapting processes and procedures as required.
  • Act as the central point of contact and assume responsibility for recording and securely storing all drawings, customer specifications, and digital data at MMIST.
  • Promote and adapt 'best practice' engineering to support design and manufacturing.
  • Create and maintain models/drawings of proposed designs, either 2D or 3D, using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
  • Ensure that the quality processes and procedures defined in MMIST's Quality Management System are met and maintained.
  • Maintain comprehensive logs for drawings, customer specifications, and digital data, ensuring the proper functioning of the respective storage systems.
  • Manage design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product.
  • Ensure self-development under the guidance of the Mechanical Engineering team.
  • Contribute to and actively support the continuous improvement process within every facet of the organization.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in engineering design and manufacturing configuration management environment.
  • Solid understanding of Configuration Management and CM2.
  • Strong experience in maintaining a well-organized CAD library, ensuring proper naming conventions and revision controls.
  • Accreditation to CM2(CMII) Configuration Management is highly desirable.
