We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Group Manager to lead our North Ecology team at WSP. As a key member of our Ecology and Environmental Impact Assessment (EcoEIA) business, you will be responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise to support a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Create a safe and positive work environment for colleagues.

    • Support project managers and take on team lead responsibilities.
  • Project Management
    • Review cost estimates and other client deliverables.
    • Support employees to prioritize and organize their work.
    • Support employees with career development and performance.
  • Business Development and Financial Management
    • Support the financial success of the team by monitoring financial results.
    • Implement changes or improvements to achieve desired financial results.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate company policies and mandates to the Ecology team.
    • Foster collaboration across the EcoEIA team and other WSP Business Lines.
Requirements
  • University degree in environmental or natural sciences, environmental engineering or other directly related disciplines.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a consulting environment with a focus on ecological project delivery.
  • Professional registration (R.P.Bio, P. Biol., P.Ag, RPP etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams and with multiple priorities.
  • Strong business acumen and financial management experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Demonstrated success in team management and leadership.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong demonstration of health and safety leadership.
  • Commitment to technical excellence.
