Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Compass Canada. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food products in accordance with our established standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, pre-cook, and cook food products as directed, ensuring that all dishes meet our quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: Label, date, store, and rotate food and beverage products in our storage areas, ensuring that all products are properly maintained and easily accessible.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean kitchen equipment after use, adhering to our health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with our operational departments to ensure seamless food service delivery.
  • Reporting and Maintenance: Report any needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to your supervisor immediately.
Requirements
  • Culinary Experience: Proven cooking experience, including experience as a restaurant cook or prep cook.
  • Certifications and Education: Food Safety Certification required, and a certificate from a recognized cooking school.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures; accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks; familiarity with industry best practices; ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
