Client Programming Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Client Programming Coordinator to join our team at Homes First Society. The successful candidate will work closely with our Client Services team to design and implement programs, outings, and recreational activities that enhance the well-being of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Support clients in gathering feedback on desired programs and activities, design and oversee their implementation, and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Client Support: Provide support to clients through activities such as socialization, budgeting, and referrals to resources.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate client records, client notes, and complete reports as required.
- Budget Management: Oversee budgets and resources to operate client programming, outings, and recreational activities.
- Partnerships: Support partnerships operating programming onsite and work closely with the Client Programming Supervisor and the Client Services Department to coordinate events and obtain resources.
- Crisis Intervention: Intervene in crises, de-escalate conflicts, and respond to client emergencies, including overdoses and the administration of Naloxone or oxygen.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to Homes First Policy and Procedures, including Homes First's Harm Reduction Policies.
- Education: Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent in education and experience.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with people who are homeless, in social/supportive housing, under-housed, and/or dealing with addictions and mental health.
- Skills: Demonstrated experience performing case management functions, ability to effectively prioritize work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Certifications: Certificates in First Aid, CPR, Crisis Prevention and Intervention an asset.
Working in an environment where there may be smoke is required.
