Position Overview:

The organization is in search of a qualified candidate for the role of Senior Business Systems Analyst. This position is crucial for the enhancement of our IT Enterprise Architecture team, focusing on the deployment of an Enterprise Asset Management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in all stages of the project life-cycle, including Initiation, Planning, Definition, Execution, and Closeout.
  • Contribute to the rollout of a large-scale, intricate system, necessitating extensive organizational change management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to document system architecture and specifications effectively.
  • Support all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), encompassing requirements gathering, solution architecture and design, software development, system integration, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Assist projects utilizing rapid development methodologies such as Agile and Iterative approaches.
  • Build relationships between business units and the IT department by engaging with business leaders and power users to comprehend genuine business needs and priorities.
  • Participate in technology and business risk assessments to identify implications and develop innovative solutions.
  • Facilitate the creation of business cases to secure funding through various project stages.
  • Implement industry best practices to maintain a focus on continuous improvement, including staying updated on project management trends and IT advancements.
  • Develop and manage project timelines for deliverables.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Business Analysis certification is advantageous.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification is a plus.

Experience:

  • 5 to 10+ years of experience in IT.
  • Proven experience in projects utilizing rapid development methodologies.
  • Experience in a matrixed delivery model.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain solution documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft DevOps for requirements and work management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Technical proficiency in implementing technological solutions.
  • Experience managing conflicting priorities regarding scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to guide project teams.
  • Proven team player with the ability to navigate interrelationships among various internal and external groups.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and planning skills.
