Buckland is seeking a Business Systems Analyst
Key Responsibilities
The Business Systems Analyst will collaborate closely with both Business Analysts and Product Owners, demonstrating a passion for transformation and innovation. This role is pivotal in conceptualizing and executing design ideas, ensuring a seamless transition from initial thought to final implementation. A successful candidate will adeptly navigate corporate initiatives by engaging in data mapping, crafting integrations, and connecting various applications to enhance automation.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Facilitating the transition from paper-based processes to automated solutions through OCR and document processing.
- Assisting in the design or selection of platforms aimed at enhancing data accuracy, processing efficiency, and tool reliability to achieve optimal uptime.
- Designing and scaling project deliverables related to document processing.
- Engaging with end users to comprehend and document their current workflows necessary for delivering required outputs.
- Collaborating with Software Developers and Product Owners to gather insights and devise solutions that streamline and enhance existing business processes.
- Developing long-term enhancement strategies that incorporate features and data elements to improve efficiency and ensure business continuity.
- Proactively updating project stakeholders on status, challenges, and risks, ensuring timely escalation and support when necessary.
- Creating and disseminating essential documentation, including business and technical requirements, process flow diagrams, testing protocols, and training materials.
- Staying informed about industry trends and advancements through continuous education and professional networking.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
- A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Business Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst, with 2-5 years in a similar role, particularly in EDI projects and technology integration.
- Proven ability to map, debug, and analyze data elements and their interrelations.
- Experience in an Agile development environment, familiar with Agile practices such as Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, and Retrospectives.
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with product owners, testers, and stakeholders, promoting CI/CD, Test Driven Development (TDD), and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD).
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts in an accessible manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with SQL, PowerShell, Python, or similar development tools is advantageous.
- Willingness to work in a flexible environment.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Willingness to travel between Canada, the USA, or Mexico as necessary, up to 10% of the time.
