About the Role

Parkin Architects Limited, a renowned employee-owned architectural practice, seeks a seasoned Senior Healthcare Planner to join their team. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for leading the medical planning process, ensuring seamless integration of clinical processes, and delivering high-quality design solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Process Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of clinical processes across major inpatient and outpatient departments, including institutional, ambulatory, and business occupancy environments.
  • Medical Planning Leadership: Lead the medical planning process, working closely with end-users to outline process flows and critical adjacencies of clinical rooms.
  • Design Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the design team to create department floor plan concepts reflective of operations, ensuring optimal use of space and resources.
  • Project Management: Manage the deliverables for the medical planning team, ensuring timely completion of projects and meeting client expectations.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on planning issues, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Team Development: Mentor staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in healthcare planning, ensuring the team's expertise and capabilities.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of healthcare planning experience, with a proven track record in clinical planning leadership.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Revit, strong presentation, communication, organizational, team building, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge: Clear understanding of applicable codes, building construction systems, materials, and standards.
