Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Under general supervision, this role is accountable for promoting and selling Johnson Controls' Building Efficiency solutions to decision-makers at the Director and Vice President levels. The focus is on articulating the Johnson Controls value proposition to building owners and end users through effective business and technical solutions. This position is essential in establishing and nurturing long-term partnerships with designated accounts, positioning renewable service agreements as a cornerstone of these managed relationships. The sales process is executed to foster and maintain enduring connections while identifying, qualifying, and securing new sales opportunities.

Responsibilities Include:

Persuasively and confidently sells Johnson Controls offerings to building owners at the executive level, achieving optimal profit margins with minimal oversight. Concentrates on enhancing both existing and new facilities to help building owners meet their operational goals. Sells, renews, and expands renewable service agreements, including multi-year contracts, to both new and existing clients. Develops collaborative relationships with decision-makers to facilitate the sale of Johnson Controls offerings. Addresses the operational and environmental objectives of customers, recommending solutions that align with their goals and provide competitive advantages. Distinguishes Johnson Controls services and products from competitors through innovative and value-added sales techniques. Establishes a mentorship relationship with a Senior Account Executive to support professional development and enhance sales productivity.

Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of successful experience in field sales.

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. Minimum of one year of successful sales experience in the HVAC or building automation systems sector. A demonstrated commitment to integrity and quality in business practices. Strong initiative and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
