Overview

Role Responsibilities

Under general supervision, this position is accountable for promoting and selling Johnson Controls' Building Efficiency solutions to decision-makers at the Director and Vice President levels. The role emphasizes articulating the value proposition of Johnson Controls to building owners and end-users through tailored business and technical solutions. The representative will cultivate and maintain enduring customer relationships with designated accounts, positioning renewable service agreements as a cornerstone of these partnerships. The sales process will be executed to foster long-term relationships while identifying, qualifying, and securing new sales opportunities.

Key Activities

Persuasively and confidently sells Johnson Controls' offerings to building owners at the executive level, achieving optimal profit margins with minimal oversight. Focuses on enhancing both existing and new facilities to support the building owner's business goals. Engages in the sale, renewal, and expansion of renewable service agreements, including multi-year contracts, to both new and existing clients. Develops collaborative relationships with decision-makers to drive the adoption of Johnson Controls' offerings. Addresses operational and environmental objectives of customers, recommending solutions that align with their goals and highlight competitive advantages. Distinguishes Johnson Controls' services and products from competitors through innovative and value-added sales strategies. Establishes a mentorship relationship with a Senior Account Executive to enhance professional development and productivity within the sales team.

Qualifications

Required

High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of proven success in field sales.

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. Minimum of one year of successful experience in selling HVAC or building automation systems. A strong commitment to integrity and quality in business practices. Excellent initiative and interpersonal communication skills.
