Position Overview

As part of our strategic expansion, we are looking for a Civil Project Engineer to join our team at IBI Group. The ideal candidate will collaborate with our Civil Engineering division and will possess the capability to engage effectively with both experienced and novice team members within our urban development Land Engineering sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate projects, liaise with clients and municipalities, and finalize engineering designs and assessments.
  2. Collaborate with our Design & Engineering teams to develop some of the most innovative and remarkable structures and environments.
  3. Ensure that projects positively impact the surroundings, enhancing travel experiences and creating community-oriented public spaces.

Accountabilities:

  1. Serve as the project engineer for ongoing and urban development initiatives.
  2. Execute servicing and grading designs using Civil-3D under the guidance of the Project Manager and Land Engineering Manager.
  3. Act as the primary contact for all project-related communications with clients to guarantee consistent and reliable service.
  4. Work in close partnership with the civil engineering team to ensure that the designs align with the overall business goals.
  5. Support the delivery of technical designs within the established cost, schedule, and quality benchmarks for the project.
  6. Prepare and evaluate engineering design drawings (related to site plans) and associated engineering documentation (FSR/SWM Reports).
  7. Oversee all phases of technical design across engineering disciplines and other technical experts.
  8. Lead the identification of technical design and support resource needs and contribute to resource planning.
Qualifications:
  1. A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering is preferred.
  2. Possession of P. Eng status or eligibility for registration with PEO.
  3. 5 to 10 years of experience in land development design and municipal infrastructure, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.
  4. Ability to adapt to ongoing changes in a dynamic environment, with strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
  5. Excellent relationship-building capabilities.
  6. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team both as a contributor and a leader.
  7. Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a team of design professionals.
  8. A commitment to high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  9. Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
  10. Proficient in MS Office applications.
