The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with both experienced and junior engineers within our urban development division. In this position, you will work alongside our Design & Engineering teams to develop transformative structures and environments that improve the daily lives of individuals, from enhancing transportation networks to creating communal spaces that foster connection.
This role is situated within our global business sector, focusing on Places. We partner with clients worldwide to design, implement, and enhance smart, secure, and sustainable environments where people live, work, learn, and thrive. The design of these spaces is crucial to the well-being of communities, whether they involve residential areas, commercial establishments, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, or industrial sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to various project tasks as part of the technical team, including research, data compilation, and evaluation.
- Draft technical documentation such as Functional Servicing Reports and Stormwater Management reports.
- Conduct design calculations for stormwater, sanitary, and potable water systems.
- Coordinate with external consultants to ensure project deliverables are met, with occasional CAD drafting.
- Perform site visits for data gathering and observational purposes.
- Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng) designation or eligibility for registration.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure and land development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and follow direction.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- A strong commitment to delivering high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail.
