Regional Operations Manager

Brandt is currently in search of a Regional Operations Manager for the Central Alberta Agriculture sector, specifically focusing on John Deere operations.

Reporting directly to the VP of Operations - Agriculture Alberta, the ideal candidate will possess a strong drive and several years of progressive leadership experience. The Regional Operations Manager will oversee the sales growth and profitability across multiple branches, ensuring effective asset management and market share objectives are met, while also fostering employee development and managing accounts receivable within the division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing, implementing, and achieving annual budgets for the branches within the designated area of responsibility.
  • Driving sales growth and profitability across all divisions, including whole goods, parts, service, and administration.
  • Meeting asset management targets related to inventory turnover and aging, while safeguarding company assets and ensuring the right inventory mix to support sales and market share objectives.
  • Leading and nurturing all employees within the division to cultivate a motivated and successful workforce dedicated to the long-term success of the company, its customers, and its employees.
  • Setting performance targets for branch managers and assessing their performance using established KPIs.
  • Achieving agreed-upon market share goals for the sustained success of both the manufacturer and the company.
  • Providing insights and feedback regarding future opportunities and competitive challenges.
  • Overseeing division account receivables in collaboration with the Director of Credit Services.
  • Maintaining a consistent presence at assigned branches to provide leadership and oversight.
  • Collaborating with suppliers and participating in various events, including customer engagements and recruitment initiatives.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the heavy equipment sector, including at least 5 years in management or business operations.
  • A degree or diploma with a business focus is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in sales and product support is beneficial.
  • Possession of a valid passport is required, as travel is part of the role.
  • Strong financial understanding, cost management skills, and business planning capabilities.
  • A resourceful and professional approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable leadership style, with a strong problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining strong customer relations.
