We offer a range of services and supports, including residential care, employment assistance, community involvement, supported independent living, respite care, and day programs.

Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for individuals in the community, fostering inclusion and independence.

Responsibilities
- Deliver both direct and indirect support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, tailored to their personal support plans.
- Assistance may encompass daily living activities, personal hygiene, medication management, and meal preparation.
- Monitor health concerns for each individual as necessary.
- Help maintain a clean and organized living environment for those supported.
- Encourage community participation, independence, and self-determination for individuals.
- Assist individuals in identifying and pursuing their personal aspirations and goals.

- Foster self-expression among individuals supported, utilizing knowledge of both verbal and non-verbal communication methods, including alternative communication techniques.


- Stay informed about and leverage community resources.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, individuals supported, and their families to address challenges and resolve conflicts.
- Implement techniques and understand principles related to non-violent crisis intervention (CPI).
Required Qualifications

- Completion or active pursuit of a Developmental Services Worker Diploma (preferred), or a Social Services Worker Diploma, Child and Youth Worker Diploma, or a Degree/Diploma in Nursing (RNs, NPs, RPNs).

- Candidates who are pursuing a University Degree with at least 6 months of experience working or volunteering with individuals with intellectual disabilities will also be considered.

- A valid Ontario Driver's License (Class G or G2), access to a reliable vehicle, and car insurance are necessary.
- Prior experience working or volunteering with individuals with intellectual disabilities is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, written).
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and with families as needed.
- Proficiency in a PC environment, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and other relevant software.
- Current Standard First Aid / Level A CPR Certificate is required.
- Bilingualism in English/French or other languages is considered an asset.
