About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Guest Services Agent to join our team at Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa. As a key member of our Front Desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our internal and external guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding service to guests, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with tour check-ins, greet tour guides and groups, and generate reports for other departments as required.
  • Register and checkout hotel guests, ensuring all service standards are followed.
  • Act as an ambassador for Fairmont Château Laurier, promoting our brand and values to all guests and colleagues.
  • Assist Leadership in performing daily duties, including crisis and emergency response.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in both official languages (English and French).
  • Previous Front Desk Agent experience in a similar environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle cash effectively and accurately.
  • Computer literate with exposure to Opera Cloud, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Active listener, self-starter, and able to make decisions and take initiative.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute.
  • Positive and pleasant attitude, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
