**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Guest Services Agent to join our team at Fairmont Chateau Laurier in Ottawa. As a key member of our Front Desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our internal and external guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for all.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide outstanding service to our guests, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with tour check-ins and greet tour guides and groups as required, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for all.
  • Generate reports for other departments in the hotel, utilizing your analytical skills to provide accurate and timely information.
  • Act as a key member of our crisis and emergency team, responding to situations with poise and professionalism.
  • Register and check out hotel guests, ensuring all service standards are met and exceeded.
  • Represent Fairmont Chateau Laurier as an ambassador, promoting our brand and values to all guests and stakeholders.
  • Assist Leadership in performing daily duties, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as overnight shifts when required.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all guests and staff.

**Requirements**

  • Fluent in both official languages (English and French) is a requirement.
  • Previous Front Desk Agent experience in a similar environment is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, with the ability to handle cash effectively and accurately.
  • Computer literate with exposure to Opera, Property Manager, and Delphi, Word, and Excel is preferred.
  • Active listener, self-starter, and able to make decisions and take initiative.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute and possess a positive and pleasant attitude.
  • Able to work alone and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

**Physical Aspects of the Position**

  • Standing during entire shift, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
