Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Assistant to join our team at Avilion Metalcraft Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assisting in the fabrication of metal products, ensuring high-quality finishes and meeting customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions to achieve optimal cleaning results.
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, and metal machine operators in their tasks.
  • Sort and organize metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools to achieve precise results.
  • Clean machines and work areas to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Load and unload vehicles to ensure efficient transportation of materials.
  • Polish metal products to a mirror finish to meet customer expectations.
  • Read and interpret work orders to understand customer requirements and specifications.
Work Environment

As a Metal Fabrication Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and efficiency. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a physically demanding environment.

Physical Demands

This role requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a physically demanding environment. You will be required to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
