Job Description

CIMA+, a leading provider of professional services and consulting engineering, is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to support its growth objectives in Western Canada. This role will be responsible for providing strategic HR guidance to the management team and supporting employees in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as a trusted advisor to the management team, providing expert guidance on HR-related matters, including employee engagement, performance management, compensation, communication, training, and talent acquisition.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with managers and employees to maximize trust, engagement, and retention.
  3. Collaborate with the HR team to implement customized solutions that address the unique challenges of HR management in Western Canada.
  4. Identify risks and opportunities for improvement related to human resources management and support managers in developing strategic plans to address these issues.
  5. Represent the HR function and the business sector in various mandates and projects, implementing initiatives that drive business results.
  6. Act as a change agent within a context of rapid growth, aligning with CIMA+'s values and organizational culture.
  7. Provide HR-related support to employees, including answering questions and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current and applicable laws, regulations, best practices, and trends in human resources management.
  9. Participate in the selection and integration processes for new employees, working closely with the talent acquisition team.
  10. Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, working closely with assigned client groups.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or Business Partner role.
  3. Understanding of Western Canada employment laws.
  4. Proven experience in business partnerships and a strong customer service orientation.
  5. Strong capacity for autonomy, leadership, and influencing through excellent judgment.
  6. Team spirit and collaboration.
  7. Coaching and communication skills.
  8. Ability to develop the practice through creativity and innovation.
  9. Ability to thrive in a changing environment.
  10. Member of a professional order is an asset.
  11. Knowledge of the professional services and consulting engineering sector is an asset.

The expected salary for this position is from $75,000 to $90,000, based on the richness and diversity of the candidate's experience, training, skills, and internal equity.
