About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Assistant to join our team at QUICK SOLUTION DIESEL REPAIR LTD. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our diesel equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tool Management: Assist in the organization and maintenance of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and easily accessible.
  • Site Safety: Promote a safe working environment by signaling safety procedures to colleagues and the public, and adhering to all relevant regulations.
  • Support to Tradespersons: Provide assistance to tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed, ensuring the efficient completion of tasks.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including machines and immediate surroundings.
  • Area of Work Experience: Assist in maintenance and repair tasks, with a focus on heavy equipment and diesel engines.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a physically demanding environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Work under Pressure: Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Weight Handling: Assist in handling equipment and materials, with a maximum weight of 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Team Player: Demonstrate flexibility, organization, and a strong team player attitude.
  • Experience: While experience is an asset, we are open to training the right candidate. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
