Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Assistant to join our team at DB Diesel & Mobile Service Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will assist tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers in performing various tasks related to diesel engine maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines, including cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work.
  • Verify and repair emission control systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Move tools, equipment, and other materials as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers.
Work Environment

The work environment is physically demanding, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will be required to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a noisy and dusty environment.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude are essential.
  • English is the primary language used in the workplace.
  • 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
