Position Overview

The Culinary Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily activities within a food service establishment. This position requires a dedicated individual who can effectively manage kitchen staff and ensure high standards of food quality and service.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to various odours and hot conditions typical of a kitchen setting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
  • Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Ensure that food quality and service adhere to established standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive reports as required.
  • Possess knowledge of the culinary genres relevant to the establishment.
  • Oversee the delivery of food trolleys to ensure timely service.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for the kitchen team.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Direct supervision of 3-4 kitchen and food service assistants.
Work Conditions
  • Fast-paced environment requiring the ability to work under pressure.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.

Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Permanent position with a work schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week.
