Job Title: Global Partnerships Manager

Join our team as a Global Partnerships Manager and play a key role in developing strategic partnerships with institutional funders and large global foundations. As a member of our Global Partnerships Team, you will work to grow income, influence, expertise, and recognition of Children Believe as a partner of choice through select long-term partnerships on a global, regional, and national level.

About the Role

The Global Partnerships Manager will be responsible for identifying and assessing revenue generation opportunities, managing and growing a portfolio of strategic global partners, and growing income from grants in alignment with the objectives and growth goals of our new organizational strategy. You will contribute to the design, testing, and scaling of new processes and approaches, working collaboratively with Business Development and Program Development Managers across our country and regional offices.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Partnership Development and Management
    • Serve as account manager for select global partnerships, helping to grow and optimize existing relationships based on shared strategic interest and in pursuit of specific partnership opportunities.
    • Take overall responsibility for all aspects of the partnership, including the quality of materials and correspondence received by the partner, any day-to-day issues, the development, production, and placement of materials, and tracking and reporting on joint activities.
    • Contribute content on partnerships to our publications.
  2. Grants Pipeline Management and Reporting
    • Conduct monthly grant pipeline analysis and draft management reports, including match contribution requirements.
    • Provide weekly updates to the Director, Global Partnerships related to any movements in the grants pipeline, new awards, and contract negotiations.
  3. Other
    • Comply with all Children Believe policies and procedures.
    • Responsible for proper use of Children Believe goods and equipment.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in international development, grants portfolio development, partnerships, business development, and marketing. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as international development, global business management, marketing and communications, or another relevant technical field. They will also have a minimum of 5 years of progressive work experience in international development, including direct field and global experience in grants portfolio development, partnerships, business development, and marketing.

The successful candidate will have excellent research, report writing, and proposal development skills, including knowledge of budget development. They will also have knowledge of project management principles and be fluent in English, with proficiency in French or Spanish an asset. Ability to travel for business is required, approximately 20% in Canada and internationally.
