About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Ahmic Lake Resort. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training for our culinary team.
  • Supervise and mentor specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Train cooks in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation techniques.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events, banquets, and special functions.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Recruit, hire, and train staff to ensure a skilled and efficient kitchen team.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
