About This Opportunity

As a District Sales Manager, Multi-Channel & Merchandising, you'll play a pivotal role in driving sales success within your designated territory. You'll be responsible for overseeing all sales initiatives and strategies for both large and small format customers, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of sales plans and initiatives across your territory, encompassing both large and small format customer segments.
  • Manage budgets effectively, demonstrating a strong understanding of P&L principles while optimizing labor and operational expenses (OPEX).
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of Sales Development Managers, Sales Execution Associates, Merchandisers, warehouse personnel, and Drivers.
  • Ensure adherence to delivery standards, operational efficiencies, and regulatory requirements, including driver scheduling and hours worked.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and development within your team through coaching and performance feedback.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, serving as the primary point of contact between your sales area leadership and operations.
  • Champion a safe work environment by enforcing health and safety policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with store-level and local chain leaders to ensure successful implementation of marketing agreements and promotional campaigns.
  • Leverage your local market knowledge to identify opportunities and effectively utilize company resources to drive positive results.

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary education, ideally in a business-related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of progressive sales experience. Experience in operations management is highly valued.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment characterized by change.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to influence and gain consensus through personal engagement.

  • A skilled team leader with a passion for inspiring, motivating, and developing individuals.
  • Willingness to travel within your designated territory for up to 50% of the time.
