Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to take on the role of Culinary Specialist, focusing on the preparation and cooking of meals for patients receiving palliative care. This position is crucial in ensuring that our clients receive nutritious and appealing meals tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals for patients in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and adherence to sanitation standards.
  • Manage inventory by ordering necessary ingredients and supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment to promote health and safety.
  • Report any operational issues or concerns promptly.
Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of high school education or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in food preparation is required.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector is considered an asset.
  • Possession of a Food Handler's Certificate is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret menus effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, cooking practices, and quality assurance.
Essential Skills:
  • Physical capability to lift and carry moderate weights.
  • Exhibit a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
