Job Summary:

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team. As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising a team of Security Officers in a shift work environment, fostering a safe and efficient work environment, while maintaining an open-door policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of Security Officers and provide guidance and support to ensure the team is working effectively and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the casino property to ensure the safety and security of guests and employees.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, including but not limited to, theft, violence, and other safety concerns.
  • Investigate and document incidents, including preparing written and electronic statements.
  • Enforce restricted access by unauthorized persons and escort guests and employees as needed.
  • Perform identification checks on guests who appear under 30 and refer disputes to the Security Manager.
  • Conduct regular training and coaching to ensure Security Officers are equipped to handle various situations.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Security, Gaming, and Hospitality, to ensure a seamless and secure experience for guests.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Security Manager.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Law and Security or related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a related field.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer application packages.
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certificate and Non-Violent Intervention Technique Certificate.
  • Ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
  • Must successfully complete the EMR course.
  • Bilingualism considered an asset.
  • Smart Serve certification.
